Terms of Use
These terms govern your access to and use of the PetQuestAI website, pet-search tools, saved favorites, Match Me features, and email signup services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use PetQuestAI
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. You may not submit personal information if you are under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Only an adult with legal capacity may apply to adopt an animal or enter an agreement with a shelter or rescue.
2. PetQuestAI’s role
PetQuestAI is an informational discovery and matching service. PetQuestAI is not a shelter, rescue, veterinarian, animal behaviorist, broker, adoption agency, or party to any communication, application, donation, payment, meeting, transport, foster placement, or adoption transaction between you and another person or organization. The shelter or rescue controls its listing and adoption process.
3. Listings and availability
Pet information may be supplied by RescueGroups.org, shelters, rescues, foster networks, and other third parties. Listings may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, inaccurate, or out of date. An animal’s availability, location, breed, age, size, health, vaccination status, temperament, training, compatibility, adoption fee, and requirements can change at any time. You must confirm all material information directly with the listing organization before relying on it.
4. Match Me and other guidance
Match scores, filters, explanations, and recommendations are automated estimates based on limited listing data and the answers you provide. They are educational starting points and do not predict behavior, safety, health, suitability, or adoption success. They are not professional veterinary, medical, legal, financial, insurance, training, or behavioral advice. Consult qualified professionals and the responsible organization when appropriate.
5. Your responsibility and safety
You are solely responsible for evaluating an animal and organization, checking credentials and records, involving all household members, complying with leases and laws, arranging safe meetings, and deciding whether to apply, donate, foster, transport, or adopt. Use caution when communicating or meeting, do not send money or sensitive information until you have verified the recipient, and seek immediate professional help for health or safety concerns.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only lawfully and for personal pet-discovery purposes. You may not interfere with the Service; bypass security or access controls; scrape, harvest, or republish data or images without permission; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person or organization; submit false information; use the Service to facilitate animal abuse, fraud, discrimination, or illegal commerce; or infringe another party’s rights.
7. Your submissions and communications
You are responsible for information you submit and represent that you have the right to provide it. Email signup is optional and requires consent. You may unsubscribe using the link in a message. Service-related responses may be delayed or unavailable, and signing up does not guarantee delivery of pet updates, quiz results, or other communications.
8. Third-party services and content
The Service links to or relies on third parties, including RescueGroups.org, listing organizations, Brevo, hosting providers, map or location services supplied by your browser, and potentially advertising services if enabled in the future. PetQuestAI does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, security, privacy practices, availability, policies, or conduct. Your dealings with a third party are governed by that party’s terms.
9. Intellectual property
PetQuestAI’s original design, text, software, branding, and features are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Pet photos, descriptions, shelter names, trademarks, and third-party data remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed subject to applicable permissions and licenses. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
10. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service, remove content, or update these terms at any time. Updated terms become effective when posted with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, safety, or that a particular animal or organization will meet your needs. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetQuestAI and its operator, personnel, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, personal injury, property damage, animal injury, adoption outcomes, or losses arising from listings, recommendations, third parties, communications, meetings, donations, transport, or use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid PetQuestAI to use the Service during the preceding 12 months or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PetQuestAI and its operator, personnel, and contractors from claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these terms, your submissions, or your infringement of another party’s rights.
14. Disputes and general terms
Applicable law and the courts with authority over the PetQuestAI operator govern these terms, without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a claim, you agree to send a written description and allow 30 days for an informal resolution where permitted. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, the Privacy Notice, and the Adoption Disclaimer form the entire agreement concerning the Service.
15. Contact
Questions or legal notices may be sent to the contact address published by the PetQuestAI operator. Formal notices must include your name, contact information, the relevant URL or issue, and the relief requested.
